Attended quickly (within hours, not days) and worked hard to fix the problem.

The two guys who attended were most polite and efficient. They found a significant blockage in our drains which I was able to see on their camera. It took a significant amount of perseverance and hard work to dislodge but they managed it confidently and cleared everything. Very happy. Mrs McGlue

Really quick response, phoned late morning and guys came out early afternoon. Quick diagnosis of problem and estimate of costs. Gave me lots of detail about what was needed to repair, weren't pushy or condescending at all. Great guys very happy.

My parents are elderly and cannot praise the workmen enough for their excellent service. Everything was fully explained as work progressed, and what we thought initially to be just a blocked drain turned out to be a much bigger problem. However, the work was completed in one day to my parents complete satisfaction. The men were both hard working and courteous and left the area as tidy as when they arrived. Thank you. I highly recommend this company.

Good to excellent company service, both sets of men arrived on time as stated, explained what they would do after examination, the attended with expertise and worked perfectly and in harmony the had excellent senses of humour, explained and showed me everything they were going to and did as well as allowing me to see the completed work on the camera.

They were very professional and I would highly recommend them

Dramatic waterfall flowing over gutter in recent heavy rain. Called out gutter unblocker who found downpipe elbow blocked by mass of soil, moss and seeds. Unfortunately that didn't solve the problem: a small stone dropped down pipe to check flow splashed into water about 1 metre from ground indicating that drain was blocked. Greatly alarmed, I contacted Drain Division's Bristol team. From beginning to end my experience with Drain Division was a pleasure: the efficiency with which the job was booked for later the same day, the clarity of the pricing, the engineer's alert call 30 mins before arrival just as promised, the team's cheerful, polite and reassuring manner, their competence, their speed at successfully identifying and resolving the problem. They didn't hang about (important when charges run by the half hour) and they did a great job clearing up afterwards.

Focused on the task at hand, going above an beyond to get the job done and lovely personable guys at the same time. I would highly reccomend these guys to anyone. We'll blocking our drains again very soon to have them back !

I needed a CCTV drain survey for a house purchase at extremely short notice. Paul in the office was absolutely fantastic! He dealt direct with the estate agent on our behalf and got it completed within 24 hours. We received a soft copy AND a printing version through the post. Thank you so much to Paul at Drain Division Limited - I would definitely use this company again.

I am really pleased to be writing a great review for these guys! Angie has been amazingly proactive and has turned round our reports in record time. Dave the engineer who came was also very helpful and supportive. We look forward to instructing them again in future.

We are still operating daily following COVID-19 standards.

Blockages

Drain Division uses experienced drainage engineers who can deal professionally with all types of drainage blockages from waste pipes to main drains.

Blocked drains can be one of the most unpleasant and upsetting issues for householders and businesses. Blockages can be caused by a build-up of fats, oils, grease or baby wipes. There could be an object dropped into the toilet or structural defects such as roots, displacements or subsidence. Whatever the cause, the consequences can be serious resulting in backing up toilets or overflowing drains. The solution may involve removing an obstruction, drain cleaning or even repairing a structural defect.

Whatever the cause our engineers are not only equipped with the knowledge but also the tools to clear and rectify the problem. All of the vans are fully equipped with the latest high pressure jetting equipment and CCTV technology to not only clear a blocked drain, but also to investigate further to ensure it doesn’t reoccur. Once the drain is cleared a CCTV will be recommended to discover the cause of the blockage and condition of the drains.

The engineers work cleanly and efficiently and ensure that the site is left spotless after what can be a messy job.

CCTV Survey

Drains will only block for two reasons – something being put into the drain or toilet or a structural problem with the drain run or gully. This could be displacements, roots or cracks and a collapse. Any of these will be instrumental in causing a blockage and once cleared, the cause has to be investigated to prevent further problems and cost.

All of our vans are equipped with the latest CCTV cameras which will be able to check the condition of the drains and provide a recordable record of the findings. The camera will be passed through the drain run showing you on a clear monitor the internal section of the drains.

Most drainage systems are made using sections which overlap to connect. This creates a ridge and slight gap where plants and tree roots can often force their way in leaving root infested drains along cracks and breaks in the pipe. Whether you have leaking drains, slow draining facilities or a full flood to contend with, we can quickly find the cause of the problem and begin work to resolve any issues.

PITCH FIBRE

Many drains in properties up until the 1970s were made using a pitch fibre technique. After this period of time, it is often found that the pitch fibre has blistered and deformed therefore causing the diameter of the run to decrease and blockages to occur.

Drain Division engineers have the knowledge and technology to deal with all pitch fibre pipes. We have the equipment to re-round the pipes and remove the blisters saving time and expense on excavation.

This method ensures that minimum disruption is caused and the pipes can be returned to good as new.

If your property has pitch fibre drains that are starting to cause problems, call us today for a free estimate.

Soak Aways

Soak aways are just another way of draining water, an old soak away would normally consist of a large hole dug in the ground and then filled with hard-core rubble and gravel. Water is then diverted away from the property and into the soak away where it will then disperse slowly into the ground. Unfortunately old soak aways are prone to failing due to build up of silt from over the years and coming under attack from tree roots, here at Drain division with our expertise we are able to advise and install new soak away systems that meet the current regulations.

Drain Re-Lining

Drain Division uses experienced drainage engineers who can deal professionally with all types of drainage blockages from waste pipes to main drains. Blocked drains can be one of the most unpleasant and upsetting issues for householders and businesses. Blockages can be caused by a build-up of fats, oils, grease or baby wipes.

There could be an object dropped into the toilet or structural defects such as roots, displacements or subsidence. Whatever the cause, the consequences can be serious resulting in backing up toilets or overflowing rains. The solution may involve removing an obstruction, drain cleaning or even repairing a structural defect.

No Dig Lining

No dig technology enables our engineers to repair damaged drains, pipes and sewers without having to dig and cause unnecessary disruption. It’s the most cost effective and convenient method available for repairing drains.

The relining process involves the installation of a drain lining which bonds to the inside of the pipe, essentially creating a pipe within a pipe. This will rectify many issues, negates displacements and cracks and once any roots have been removed will ensure that there will be no regrowth. A resin liner will also strengthen the drain against any ground movement.

We are so confident in the process of installing resin liners, a 10 year guarantee is offered on all workmanship.

Septic Tanks Replacement

When a septic tank is operating correctly it requires minimum maintenance. In the event that you start experiencing problems with the tank, it may be that it needs replacing.

If this is the case, the Drain Division have you covered with our helpful office staff and experienced engineers. We will make this hassle free and with as little disruption to yourselves and your property as possible, leaving you with peace of mind that you have a new efficient working septic tank system which is legal and compliant.

What are the Reasons my tank would require replacing?

The main reasons you may need to replace your tank replaced are –

  • - Your septic tank is not operating correctly or efficiently.
  • - Your septic tank does not comply with current regulations which do not allow the discharge to flow into an open water course.

If this applies to you then you may need to replace the existing tank with a new Sewage Treatment Plant in order to comply with current regulations.

You may not know if your system is compliant with these regulations or you may be experiencing some problems, if so, Drain Division can help you.

If you have a septic tank that is discharging directly to surface water, such as a river, ditch or stream, then you are failing to comply with the new legislation.

You need to urgently replace or upgrade your sewage treatment system if this is the case. Failure to do so could mean you risk prosecution or a significant fine from the EA.

If you fail to comply with the new regulations, you risk facing a significant fine as well as prosecution.

We can carry out a CCTV survey on your complete system to provide you with the information that you need. At this point we will be able to advise you on the best solution.

What will replace my old Septic Tank and Why?

When removing an old Septic Tank we would advise a replacement with a new Sewage Treatment Plant, this is because they are highly efficient and more environmentally friendly. This will also bring your drainage system in line with current regulations.

Septic Tank Inspections

If you notice a problem with your Septic Tank, do not worry, Drain Division are here to help. Our experienced engineers will carry out the relevant survey and inspection to diagnose any faults and we will then be able to provide you with the solutions to resolve any faults to ensure that your septic tank is complaint with current regulations and operating, both legally and in an efficient manner.

When should I have a Septic Tank inspection?

It is always best to have a survey carried out at the first sign of any possible problems. Sooner rather than later is always the best. If problems are left untreated then this can cause further issues and increase repair costs.

It is always advised that an inspection is carried out when either buying or selling a property with a septic tank. Pre-purchase surveys on both Septic tanks and drains can avoid large repair bills in the future. You will have peace of mind, knowing that the septic tank is complaint and there are no underlying issues within the drains.

What will the Inspection cover? Within our survey we will establish

  • - Condition of the tank.
  • - Condition of all the pipework leading to from the property to the tank.
  • - Condition and functionality of the soakaway.

All of this information will be provided in –

  • - A full report of the condition of the system.
  • - A full report on the condition of the septic tank.
  • - A site plan of the layout of the system.
  • - The CCTV footage downloaded onto a USB.
  • - If there any issues found from the survey, we will include remedial solutions and advisories along with an estimate.

Sewage Treatment Plant Installations

A Sewage Treatment Plant is normally a replacement for a failing Septic Tank. Trying to achieve the safest results when on, an off mains drainage system, the Sewage Treatment Plant is the best option.

This is due to the environmentally friendly way the treatment plant deals with the drainage process.

The waste is purified thoroughly which then in turn is eventually discharges almost clean water making them one of the most eco-friendly options.

Once you have contacted Drain Division, we will arrange for an engineer to carry out a site survey. Once complete we will be able to provide a bespoke system, most suitable for your needs and property.
