Drain relining, also known as pipe relining, is a no-dig method for repairing damaged or deteriorating drains without the need for excavation. Instead of replacing the pipe, a new lining is installed inside the existing structure to create a smooth, watertight barrier. It’s fast, efficient and causes minimal disruption to your property.

When Is Pipe Relining Needed?

Drain or pipe relining is typically used when the existing drainage system shows signs of:

Cracks or fractures
Leaks or water infiltration
Tree root intrusion
Corrosion or age-related deterioration
Ground movement causing pipe misalignment

A CCTV drain survey is always carried out first to assess the condition of the pipe and confirm if relining is the right solution.

How the Process Works WITH NO DIGGING

The pipe is cleaned using high-pressure jetting to remove any blockages, debris or root ingress
A resin-soaked liner is inserted into the pipe and positioned using specialised equipment
The liner is inflated and cured in place using air, hot water or UV
Once cured, the result is a durable, smooth inner layer that restores the pipe’s structure and flow
A final CCTV inspection confirms the repair is successful

In most cases, the work can be completed in a single day with no digging required.
